Advantages of the ECO-SWD Disposal Method

ECO-SWD offers a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution to salt water disposal. When the salt water evaporates in our system, the pure water vapor dissipates into the atmosphere, leaving behind salt in solid form to be disposed or re-used for beneficial purposes. Our proprietary and patent pending technology offers the benefits as outlined below:
No Salt Water Injection
Since our system uses an energy efficient evaporation process, the salt water does not need to be injected into a formation. With the increased frequency of earthquakes in some regions, the ECO-SWD system offers a safer alternative to salt water injection. Our evaporation process returns pure water to the atmosphere, where it can eventually return as rain. With stronger regulatory restrictions on salt water injection, the ECO-SWD method offers a reliable alternative for oil and gas producers.
Lower Cost
In many cases, the total cost per barrel is less expensive for the ECO-SWD method compared to the traditional method of trucking salt water and injecting at a salt water disposal site. The energy efficient evaporation process uses gas directly from the well site, reducing the energy costs significantly.
No Trucking of Salt Water
The traditional method of trucking salt water to disposal wells is costly and increases traffic and road wear. The ECO-SWD method greatly reduces the salt water related traffic since the evaporation of the water occurs at the well site.
Scalable for High Flow
The ECO-SWD units are modular to handle high flows of salt water. For high flow conditions, multiple ECO-SWD units can be installed at a single well site. As the well production decreases, the modular ECO-SWD units can be removed to match the flow.
Portable Equipment
The ECO-SWD system is entirely portable and can be setup quickly to process salt water.
Closed Unit with a Small Footprint
ECO-SWD requires a small footprint to operate. The evaporation chamber is enclosed to ensure that water evaporation occurs inside the closed equipment, with pure water vapor exiting the system. Some other evaporation-based systems rely on large ponds that expose wildlife to the salt water. Our ECO-SWD system is closed, so wildlife does not come in contact with the salt water.
Automated Salt Removal
Produced water or salt water can contain a high concentration of salt. After the evaporation of the water, the salts are left behind in solid form. The ECO-SWD automatically conveys the salt from the evaporation chamber and into a disposal container for removal from the well site.
Salt Reuse
After sufficient testing of the recovered salts, the salt can be used for beneficial purposes such as road salt. Produced salt water in some regions is nearly pure sodium chloride (NaCl), which is chemically identical to traditional table salt.
Full Service
We understand that oil and gas producers are accustomed to the relative ease of traditional salt water disposal methods. ECO-SWD offers full service including providing the necessary equipment, maintenance, daily operation, and salt disposal.
